Ever wondered about life beyond earth?If we think about Earth as an element of space, several movies deals with life beyond earth. The expedition of space in pop culture, in movies like Interstellar, have always grappled the attention of audiences alike due to its mysticism and imagination.
What about the present universe?
Humans who explore space are taken similar to the movie Gravity. The movies, usually present a hyperbolic situation. But the humans who survive is like a live movie. The graphics and the VFX are created to create an illusion, unknowingly we are living in an illusion of space where there is a presence of nature and life.
The popularity of this genre is due to its extensive methods used to create an illusion, especially through the use of green screen. It creates a completely different ambience which is beyond earth.

What is Soap Opera?
A Space Opera is a subgenre of science fiction. It feels unreal and absurd that people feel like an illusion or a dream.
But Space opera is beautiful, glittery as well as fun which brings people closer and follow it to make a part of their life. This leads to several criticism that is considered as “fantasy in space.”
Space Opera Series that have brought the universe close to one another
The first is “Space Opera” written by David Harswell. It explains the genre as being dramatic, large scale science fiction which is focused on sympathetic, heroic plot. It deals with the war and the military virtues.
The next and which is the greatest space opera which influenced people to live in the space opera world is the “Star Wars Series”. Through the series, people started to imagine themselves as superheroes.
There are many films which can be directly called as space operas. The era of space operas started in the 1800s. The first opera was a story written by Robert William Cole, which was called The Struggle for Empire: A Story of the Year 2236. This was about an interstellar war between Earth people and a strong humanoid race located in Sirius. After this, many novels and films came up.
Hence, the present could be interpreted as a space opera in itself, as our life is nothing but a movie. Now, humanity depends upon protecting the planet or destroying it through our ignorance.
