A lot of ourselves can be constructed behind four walls. Today, the first day of Memoir Week, we invite you to think about the physical space around you, the place you inhabit, and how it shaped who you are now. Do you feel connected to it? Can you see yourself in it?

Building number 8, called Cordia, stacked against a cordial of 16 buildings in a society called Nyati Estate. Located in Pune, Maharashtra in the country India, I would describe my house as a semi-urban dwelling. My house is a perfect nocturnal habitat for my family: my hyperactive mother, my busy father, my naughty brother and me.

My house is filled with happiness and prosperity. My room, where I reside, is full of books of Roald Dahl, Rick Riordan, Enid Blyton and several others. It is also full of several artworks made by my mom.
